"To me, Tsogyal, he gave the outer, inner, secret, and absolute methods of accomplishing the Mind of the Guru, the root sadhana of Padma Wang, and seven different adaptations of it related to the mandala of the Guru. In short, he gave me the sadhana of the Three Roots in one single mandala and told me to practice in the places where images of the Precious Guru had spontaneously arisen, such as Taktsang in Onphu, Taktsang inMon, and Taktsang in Kham, and especially in Tidro. He also said that, when pains and difficulties arose, I should pray to him and that he would come and give me advice. And he insisted that it would be wrong for me ever to separate from my companion Atsara Sale. These were his directions.
"As a thanksgiving to the Guru for his kindness, the great religious king then offered many perfect and abundant ganachakra feasts, in number equal to that of the mandalas to which the Guru had introduced us. Making a mountainous pile of gold, silk, and all the riches that this world affords, he said:
Kyema!
Mighty Guru, Lord!
The mandala of the Secret Mantra unsurpassed,
So hard to find in many ages, is now found!
Your great compassion is beyond repayment.
From now until enlightenment is gained,
Do not cast us from your loving kindness, Lord.
A man like me, a king, is lost in inattention,
Caught up in affairs and never free!
Look upon me ever with your eyes of pity!
