Buddhahood
尽汝形寿于修行
This karmic body, like an unprotected bubble,
Liable to die at any time—
When you see its nature of impermanence,
Don't behave as if you'll live forever,
Make your practice equal with your life.
Practice what will lead to Ati, to phenomena's exhaustion.
业身如沫难以护,
时时刻刻转瞬逝,
见此无常身本性,
汝行莫如将永存。
尽汝形寿于修行,
诸法寂灭证阿底。
KyeHo!
Listen to me; stop your wailing!
My love for you is totally unchanging.
You're acting just like those who cling to permanence!
I have not died, I have not left you, nor departed anywhere.
Pray to me and you will truly see my face.
To those with unalloyed devotion, I will give the siddhi that they wish,
From now until the final future generation.
嗟吹!
停止啼哭当谛听。
吾对汝爱全无变,
汝行如执常见者!
吾未逝或离汝等,
亦未往至他处所,
祈祷当确见吾容。
从今直至末世者,
虔者将得赐悉地。
Tibet, this land, this pure sphere of theGreat Compassionate,
Ripened as the field of teaching of the Lotus Guru,
With great Manjushri as the master of the Doctrine,
And the powerful majesty of Vajrapani, Lord of Secrets,
The ocean of the Teachings will abide forever here,
藏地大悲怙主剎,
莲师传法使成熟,
圣文殊为法教师,
密主金刚手力护,
故此教法海永驻,
Free from foreign unbelievers, free from harm.
When demons and demonic forces have been tamed,
May holders of the sutra teachings gain in strength
Through their attainment in the Secret Mantrayana.
离于异域外道伤。
恶魔邪力调伏时,
愿持经教者力增,
经由密乘修证量。
融合汝心于吾心
May the kingdom all be filled with practicing communities.
May all the people of Tibet, this central land,
Henceforth in this and future lives,
Adopt the Triple Gem as witness to their joy and sorrow—
Ten virtues may they cultivate, ten vices cast aside.
愿修行众遍全国,
藏地中土人民众,
愿今起至未来世,
以三宝为苦乐证,
增十善行舍十恶。
For every act of thought or deed, consult the noble Teachings.
As to wrong and right, obey the word of Padma.
In secular and social matters,
Let the customs of the pious king be followed.
Let the statutes of the land be based on Dharma.
Let foes on the four borders be subdued by strength of Dharma,
Defeated by the yidam and the Triple Gem's compassion.
诸行念想依圣法,
是非听循莲师语,
世俗事遵虔王律。
国法当依佛教法,
四境边敌正法伏,
本尊三宝悲力屈。
Monks and nuns should keep their practice
Following the teachings of the scriptures.
Layfolk, men and women, should maintain a pure perception.
Let all have boundless reverence for those above them,
And give with open hands to those below.
Let all recite, for their own good, the mantra of six syllables,
And confidently pray to Padmasambhava, their Lord.
僧尼当持续修行,
依循经典之所教。
在家众当持净觉,
无边敬意尊上者,
毫无保留施下者。
为自利持六字咒,
怙主莲师虔信祈。
With devotion take the four empowerments — you, all gathered here.
Raise your voices, call on Tsogyal—call me by my name
Request the four empowerments,
Mingling your minds with mine inseparably.
And in your sessions practice thought-free meditation.
汝等所有聚此众,
当具虔信受四灌,
高声呼唤措嘉名,
请求四灌之赐予,
融合汝心于吾心。
无念襌定座中修。
当观己师为莲师
In general terms, and for the people of Tibet in times to come,
The Lotus-Born is your predestined teacher.
To accomplish the Guru you should strive,
Perceiving your own teacher in the form of Padma.
简言藏地今来众,
莲师为汝命定师。
若欲成就相应法,
当观己师为莲师,
Thus the blessings of compassion will flow the more abundantly.
Practice on the Teacher's Mind in sadhanas both long and short,
And Buddhahood, I pledge, in one life will be yours.
慈悲加持将盈流。
修上师意广简法,
即生成佛誓能成。
Recite the quintessential Guru Siddhi mantra.
On the tenth day of the waxing and the waning moon,
And on the eighth day and the fifteenth of the month,
Keep the ganachakra feast with offerings.
A single ganachakra, and the door is closed to birth in lower realms!
I promise, it will lead you to the state of no returning.
莲师心咒亦当持。
以及初八初十五,
持行荟供与供养。
月盈月磨第十日,
一荟供断恶趣门,
不还果位誓能成。
