Those who wish to know of the travels of the Guru and the Lady Tsogyal to other destinations should search in the life stories of the Guru. Then, once again, the Guru and his Consort dwelt in the central sanctuary, acting as spiritual guides to Tibet's great king. After bestowing liberally and in detail the oral instructions and predictions concerning the discovery of the Dharma Treasures, and after giving counsel to the king, ministers, queens, courtiers, and translators, on the tenth day of the monkey month of the monkey year, the Guru departed, riding on a sunbeam, for the continent of Ngayab in the southwest. Tsogyal remained behind for the benefit of the king and others, especially the three twin communities, thus accomplishing the benefit of beings and filling the earth with the Treasures of the Guru's teaching.
The Dharma king and his retinue escorted the Precious Guru to the pass of Gungthang. There they asked him for many predictions and instructions, and then they turned back, with sorrow in their hearts. "But I, Tsogyal," the Lady recalled, "riding on a sunbeam, accompanied the Guru as far as the ravine of Tsasho on the frontier between Tibet and Nepal. Going down to the secret cave of Tsasho, we stayed there for three weeks. There the Guru opened the mandala of the Dzogchen Ati Khyabdel and gave me the empowerment. But the auspicious moment was spoiled through the doubts and overfamiliar attitude of Chonema. The Guru said, Though the teachings of the Secret Mantra will spread in Tibet, the Ati teachings, which are the summit of the Mahayana, will be a matter of contention, and those who gain liberation through them will be few, whether in the oral or the Treasure lineage. They will be of small benefit to beings. On account of this karmic circumstance, even the general teachings of the Secret Mantra will have little power and will be quick to rise and fall.'
"And he withheld the empowerment from Chonema. To me, Tsogyal, however, he granted it in full, leaving nothing out."
'This is the perfect time,' the Guru said, 'to give you this instruction. It belongs to that extraordinary vehicle that causes analytical intellection to subside. To have given you this teaching too early, at the improper moment, would have been to harvest the crop at once. The fruit would have been picked, and there would be no way for you to stay longer in this world. For one who practices this teaching, there is no such thing as good or bad karma, high station or low, youth or age, sharp faculties or dull. Its fruit is called the "total absorption in the space wherein all phenomena are extinguished." Had this instruction been given to you earlier, it would have been difficult for you to establish securely the benefit of living beings and the Buddha's Doctrine, and to conceal profound Treasures for the sake of others. For your material body would have been instantly consumed. Now you must practice without abandoning for an instant the direct recognition of ultimate reality. In this way you will swiftly attain Buddhahood while still in this body. Henceforth, practice in places such as Zabbu and Tidro, and within three years, the experiences of the recognition of ultimate nature will increase. Within six years, awareness will attain its ultimate reach. When that time comes, conceal all the remaining Treasures and, by means of the essential pith instructions, perfectly accomplish the benefit of others.

对于修行此法的行者而言,业无善恶,座无高低,无有老少,智无锐钝。所获之果称为『诸法灭寂虚空大定』。
Had this instruction been given to you earlier, it would have been difficult for you to establish securely the benefit of living beings and the Buddha's Doctrine, and to conceal profound Treasures for the sake of others. For your material body would have been instantly consumed.
若在以前给妳此法,妳就很难确实利益众生,并推展佛陀教法,以及为了利他而封藏甚深寳藏,因为妳的色身将会立时耗尽,
Now you must practice without abandoning for an instant the direct recognition of ultimate reality. In this way you will swiftly attain Buddhahood while still in this body.
现在,妳必须一刻都不舍对究竟实相的直接了悟来修行,如此将能保留此身且迅速成佛。
Henceforth, practice in places such as Zabbu and Tidro, and within three years, the experiences of the recognition of ultimate nature will increase. Within six years, awareness will attain its ultimate reach. When that time comes, conceal all the remaining Treasures and, by means of the essential pith instructions, perfectly accomplish the benefit of others.
从今以后,要到像是扎布或提卓等地修行。三年之内,妳对究竟自性的了悟觉受将得增长;六年之内,证得究竟本觉。到了那时,便封藏所余的伏藏,并藉精要口诀来圆成利生事业。
