In that very instant, the earth trembled and there was the sound of rumbling thunder. A rain of flowers fell and the lake increased greatly in volume; and all around its shores there appeared a marvelous array of red and white blossoms, sparkling and in full bloom. The palace was enfolded in a tent of rainbows, a web of crisscrossed rays of iridescent light, visible for all to see. Music filled the sky, and for a long time the sweet sound of a viol could be heard. Many goddesses were seen among the clouds, singing this auspicious song:
