在生活中，有些人对于财物，连自己都舍不得享用，

Some people hate to use their wealth even for their own enjoyment, 

布施别人就更不可能了。

much less share it with anyone else.

这种人在临死之际，

When these people face death,

其吝啬本性会对解脱产生巨大的障碍，

their miserly nature becomes an immense obstacle to liberation, 

命终后甚至会转生成饿鬼。

so much so that they could even be reborn as hungry ghosts.

即便再生为人，

Even if they are reborn as humans, 

也必然恒常感受贫穷之苦，

they will inevitably suffer constant poverty, 

生生世世都与财富无缘。

and for life after life they will have no possibility for wealth.

Therefore, we must do everything possible to eliminate stinginess.
