用这个窍诀来祈祷，必能获得真实的加持
观修莲师，别的佛会不会生气
Will meditating on Guru Rinpoche upset other Buddhas?
三世诸佛在法界中本为一体，你观想一尊佛的时候，应观想其他佛也一并融入。
The Buddhas of the three times are one in absolute nature. When we visualize one Buddha, we visualize the merging together of all the Buddhas.
这样去观修一位圣尊，也就观修了所有圣尊。
In this way, meditation on one deity accomplishes the meditation on all deities.
常有人问：“如果我祈祷莲花生大士，其他佛菩萨是否会不高兴？
People often ask me, “If I pray to Guru Rinpoche, do I displease other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas?
我常拜的观音菩萨会不会不欢喜？”
For instance, will Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, who I always pray to, become upset?”
其实不会这样。三世诸佛在法界中本为一体，
This is not the case. The Buddhas of the three times are one in absolute nature.
你观想一尊佛的时候，应观想其他佛也一并融入。
When we visualize one Buddha, we visualize the merging together of all the Buddhas.
同样，观修莲师也不例外，
The same goes when meditating on Guru Rinpoche.
以前竹钦仁波切也说过：“观修莲师时，若能观一切佛、一切上师与莲师无别，必能获得真实的加持。”
Drupchen Rinpoche taught, “In our supplication to Guru Rinpoche, if we see that all the Buddhas and lamas are indivisible from him, we definitely will receive true blessing.”
现在有些刚学佛的人，心里矛盾特别多，他们好像对所有佛、所有上师都想修，觉得这个也殊胜、那个也慈悲，
Many people who are new to the study of Buddhadharma tend to feel ambivalent about how to deal with the many masters and deities who are all exalted and compassionate.
每一个都想“搞好关系”，不愿意得罪。
They want to please each of them without offending any.
但在实际修行时，又始终认为佛菩萨统统要分开，不可能合为一体。
In their practice, they hold each Buddha and Bodhisattva as solid and separate entities and fail to see the oneness among them.
有人学了许多法门后，每天要依次修观音菩萨、文殊菩萨、金刚萨埵、阿弥陀佛……忙得不可开交。
Some people have received many teachings and their daily practice calls for meditation in succession on Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri, Vajrasattva, Buddha Amitabha and so on. This keeps them intensely occupied.
以前我就遇到一个人，他的两个口袋各放一条念珠，左边的用来修白玉派的法，右边的用来念佐钦派的灌顶密咒。
I once met a person who kept a mala in each of his two pockets: the left one was for practice of the Palyul lineage while the right was for mantras he received at the Dzogchen lineage empowerment.
对他而言，所有的佛菩萨是分开的，上师的本体也是分开的，甚至念珠也是分开的。
To him, each one of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas was distinct; every mala had to be used separately.
我还见过一个人，家里设了两个佛堂，显宗的佛堂设在这边，密宗的佛堂设在那边，就怕不同的佛菩萨彼此“碰面”了。
What’s more, I knew a person who kept two shrine rooms in his house: the exoteric lineage was on this side, and the esoteric one was on the other side—to prevent different deities from “bumping” into one another.
这种做法大错特错，完全属于凡夫的实执分别。
This kind of behavior is totally wrong and the ordinary mind’s grasping to things as being concrete is its very cause.
显密的佛菩萨本为一体。
All the deities in the esoteric and exoteric schools are essentially indivisible.
况且现在世间上，东方人和西方人都可以住在一个房间，诸佛菩萨就更不用说了。
In the world today, Westerners and Easterners can live under one roof, why can’t the deities of different lineages?
他们在一起，绝对不会打架或起冲突，
When assembled in one room, it is impossible for different deities to fight or argue among themselves.
所以根本不需要设两个佛堂。
Really, there is absolutely no need to set up two separate shrine rooms.
若在显宗的佛堂里供奉莲师，也不会给你带来任何障碍。
You are not asking for trouble if you place Guru Rinpoche’s statue in a shrine room of the exoteric discipline.
当然，这样说，并不是让你只修莲师，不修其他法了。
Certainly, I am not saying that you only meditate on Guru Rinpoche and no others.
就不共的缘起力而言，文殊菩萨能增加智慧，观音菩萨能增上大悲……
On their bodhisattva paths, enlightened beings made specific vows to benefit beings by conferring a particular aspect of blessing. Thus, meditating on Manjushri enhances wisdom, while meditating on Avalokiteshvara develops our great compassion and so on.
你有能力的话，可以广修一切法。
If you have the capability, meditate extensively on all the deities.
但千万要记住：诸佛菩萨不要分开，
But please do keep this in mind: avoid making demarcations among the deities.
你可以选择其中的一尊，
Choose a particular one for your main practice.
然后观想其他的佛菩萨全部融入，与之成为无二无别。
Visualize all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas melding into this deity, all of them becoming inseparable as one.
这样去观修一位圣尊，也就观修了所有圣尊。
In this way, meditating on one deity accomplishes the meditation on all the deities.
所以，修行一定要懂窍诀！
Therefore, you must follow pith instructions in your Dharma practice!
