众人同声哀泣



When she had finished speaking, Tsogyal became radiant with beams of five-colored brilliance difficult to look upon. She dissolved into a sphere of deep blue light, resembling a sesame pod in shape, and disappeared. The four dakinis took the lotus by its petals and raised the shimmering light higher and higher into the air until it vanished. At that moment, all the people cried out with a single voice:


措嘉说完后,焕发五彩光辉,变得明亮不已,难以目视,随后融成一团形如芝麻的深蓝光球而消失。四位空行母手捧莲花花瓣,抬起莲花座,闪烁的光芒在空中越升越高,最终消逝。那时,所有的人都同声哀泣:




Kyema Kyehu!

Ah, mother, Yeshe Tsogyal!

Oh the wicked deed! So small is your compassion!

If now you cease from guarding this Tibetan land,

In whom will guilty sinners place their trust?

Mother, you have gone into a field of purity;

Who will now protect Tibet, this land so stained?

Mother, you have gone into the space of utter purity;

Who will be the guide of those with evil karma ripening?


嗟玛,嗟呼!

伊喜•措嘉母亲尊!

汝之悲心何其微!

藏地守护今若断,

内疚罪人能信谁?

母亲已逝往净土,

谁能护藏此污地?

母入究竟清净空,

恶业熟者谁引导?




Mother, you have journeyed to the sphere of Great Felicity;

Who will guide the ones who wander in samsaric sorrow?

Mother, you have gone away to Lotus Light;

Who will guide the beings in the steep abysses of Tibet?

Mother, you have gone into the presence of the Lotus-Born;

Who will now protect the lost, defenseless in the wilderness?


母云游至妙乐界,

轮回苦众谁引导?

母已往至莲花光,

谁领藏地深渊众?

母已往莲师尊前,

谁护迷难自卫众?




Kyema Kyehu!

Oh look upon us still with tender mercy!

We beg you, pray a little for our country's happiness.

We beg you, give brief words of testament for our Tibetan land.

How can we escape our sorrow, we assembled here?

Lady and our mother, have pity on us still;

We beg you, lead us to the paradise of Lotus Light.


嗟玛,嗟呼!

请续悲怜视我等!

乞您稍祈吾国安,

乞您为藏遗简言。

聚此众怎离悲伤?

尊女母亲续怜悯,

乞您领至莲花光。




莫悲伤当喜乐



Thus, with tears and great sorrow, they called upon her from afar, striking their bodies on the ground, weeping and wailing. And the Lady answered, not appearing physically, but speaking from a cloud of brilliant light:

Kyema Ho!

Kyema! Hear me, faithful people of Tibet.

Yeshe Tsogyal, I the great enlightened one,

Have withdrawn my impure form into unsullied space.

I am now a Buddha in the utter sphere of Lotus Light.

Therefore do not grieve; be filled with joy!

   

如此,他们悲泪交加地遥唤远方的措嘉,举身投地,流泪哀号。措嘉并未现身,而是从一团灿烂光云中答道:

嗟玛吹!

藏地忠实众人听!

伏喜•措嘉已得道,

不净色身摄净空,

吾成莲花光剎佛,

故莫悲伤当喜乐




Tibetan people, sunk in endless sorrows,

Through your faults, the many evils that you do,

You are the authors of your own unhappiness.

Understand! And take the Triple Gem as refuge from all pain.

Pray to them, your only hope and surety.

I, the Buddha Yeshe Tsogyal,

Purged the elements' uncleanness and have gone into the sky.

Through wondrous emanations I will tend the good of beings.

Therefore do not grieve; be filled with joy!


无尽悲苦藏民溺,

皆因往昔所造恶,

己身不幸源己业。

当依三宝可离苦,

祈请三宝唯一怙。

吾此伊喜•措嘉佛,

诸大清净入天空,

神妙化身护众利,

故莫悲伤当喜乐!




This heavy form of flesh, result of evil action,

Is basis of defiled emotion, cause of evil karmas.

Understand! The Dharma is the means to win the wholesome fruit.

Therefore strive to implement the teaching on the tenfold virtue.

I, the Buddha Yeshe Tsogyal,

Brought the fruit to ripeness, and I have gone into the pure expanse.

My perfect actions for the sake of Dharma I bequeath to you.

Therefore do not grieve; be filled with joy!

   

粗重色身恶行果,

亦为染垢业因基,

欲获善果循正法,

十善法教当力行。

吾此伊喜•措嘉佛,

果熟逝入净广空,

圆满事业遗予汝,

故莫悲伤当喜乐!




莫悲伤当祈祷


Evil karma wrought by so much different action

Is a cause that ripens in the realms of hell.

Understand! The way to purify the lower realms

Is virtue practiced in your speech and body.

Bind your three doors into one, upon the path of virtue.

I, the Buddha Yeshe Tsogyal,

Have gone to Great Felicity's unsullied land.

To all those linked with me I taught the means of nonreturn,

Therefore do not grieve but sing for joy!


种种行所造恶业,

结成果熟落地狱,

当知清净恶道法,

即修身和语善行,

三门合一置善道。

吾此伊喜•措嘉佛,

已至妙乐无染剎,

曾授具缘不还法,

故莫悲伤歌喜乐!




This endless ocean of samsaric pain,

See and understand its frightful nature!

A holy teacher is the sole means to escape from it.

Seek out one that's true, without mistake, and follow his instructions.

I, your mother, the enlightened Yeshe Tsogyal,

Have entered the abyss of space, the land of Lotus Light

And will be born within the hollow of a spotless lotus.

Therefore do not grieve; have faith in me.


无尽轮回大苦海,

当识可怖其本质,

欲离唯有依圣师,

求具格师循其教。

开悟措嘉汝之母,

已入空渊莲花光,

将生无瑕莲胚中,

故莫悲伤当具信!




Wild Tibet, this land of strife and sorrow!

When you crave its vales and crags no longer,

Give up useless business, stay in solitude.

Practice on the subtle veins, the energy and essence,

Apply yourselves to Dzogchen and the Mahamudra.


荒野藏地多苦斗,

高崖谷塔若不贪,

舍无用行居幽处,

修持气脉与明点,

力修大圆满大印。




I, your mother, the enlightened Yeshe Tsogyal,

Perfectly accomplished through my pure devotion,

Held in the Teacher's loving mercy,

Have gone to him, my Master Padmasambhava.

Therefore do not grieve, but offer prayers.


开悟措嘉汝之母,

清净虔行得圆成,

受持上师慈爱中, 

已往莲花生之处,

故莫悲伤当祈祷!
