The only goal of a Buddha's teaching is the good of those who wander in samsara. There is no other reason for a Buddha's actions. In this chapter we will therefore speak of three things. First we will tell of how the Lady Tsogyal planted firmly the precious teachings of the Buddha, subduing demonsand those of evil mind. Then we will speak of how, once the Buddhadharma was established, she propagated it, building up the Sangha by means of both the sutra and the tantra teachings. Finally, the tale is told of how she concealed great and inexhaustible Treasures of Dharma, so that for as long as this world lasts, and until samsara is no more, the Doctrine of the Conqueror might increase unfaltering.
When Nyatri Tsenpo, a scion of the Shakya dynasty of India, took Tibet as his dominion, the religious tradition of Bon was widespread. Then, by gradual degrees, beginning with Lhathothori, the heir of that same dynasty, the Buddhadharma was introduced, so that the name of Shakyamuni came to fill the four provinces, and the doctrine of the ten virtues was proclaimed. Now the religion of the Inner Bon was propagated at the same time, and was found to be in harmony with the Buddhist teachings. It was thought that the Buddha Shakyamuni and Shenrab, the patriarch of the Bon, were but two aspects of the same reality, and many were the images and representations of them both. The Inner Bon was named the New Translation School of Zhang Zhung.
During the lifetime of the great religious king Songtsen Gampo, an emanation of the Arya Avalokiteshvara, two images of the Buddha Shakyamuni were brought to Tibet. Beginning with the two temples of Lhasa and Ramoche, a hundred and eight temples were built to subdue and control the evil forces in the march-lands and the four central provinces. Sacred images and paintings were everywhere to be found, after the styles of both Nepal and China. Moreover, when the image of Tara known as the Jomo Zhelzigma appeared of itself in Trandruk, so great was the wonder of the king that he made for it a temple of surpassing beauty. The name of the Three Jewels, the recitation of the six-syllable mantra, and images of the Great Compassionate One filled the whole of Tibet to the very confines of China.

Plant:灌输(思想) If you plant an idea in someone's mind, they begin to accept the idea without realizing that it has originally come from you and not from them.
因此,本章将会述及三个主题:首先是关于措嘉尊女深植佛陀珍贵教法和降伏鬼魔邪见者的过程;
Then we will speak of how, once the Buddhadharma was established, she propagated it, building up the Sangha by means of both the sutra and the tantra teachings.
其次是关于她在树立佛法之后,传布佛法并藉由经续二教建立僧团的情形,
Finally, the tale is told of how she concealed great and inexhaustible Treasures of Dharma, so that for as long as this world lasts, and until samsara is no more, the Doctrine of the Conqueror might increase unfaltering.

佛教与内苯
When Nyatri Tsenpo, a scion of the Shakya dynasty of India, took Tibet as his dominion, the religious tradition of Bon was widespread.
