五种带有辛味的蔬菜、即大蒜、��葱、慈葱、兰葱、兴渠。学佛人要戒食五辛,因五辛中含有极充份的刺激性,熟吃能使人淫火焚身,生啖又易使人增高嗔恚,学佛人一有了欲念和嗔恚,便会蒙蔽智慧,增长愚痴,妄动无明,造诸恶业。
