印度外道之一种。此外道认为于修行法门中，以如哑羊之不语，为最殊胜。四分律行事钞卷下三载有（大四○・一三三中）‘僧�o受人礼拜，不得如哑羊不语’一语。行事钞资持记卷下三（大四○・三九七中）：‘如哑羊者，彼有哑羊外道受不语法，世有持不语者，谓为上行，此外道法，宜速舍之。’
