Then the great religious king spoke. "The Master is likeVajradhara in person," he said. "If instead of showing him reverence, you plot against him boundless sins, know and understand, O ministers, that you will suffer evils nine times greater than what you have prepared for him. For it is I who hold dominion upon this earth!" And he was silent.
Even one of the queens, the Lady of Tsepong, spoke to the evil ministers. But there was no agreement. Tumult prevailed.And so Goe the Elder spoke and offered this counsel:
"Majesty! Surely it is better to be in harmony with yourministers than that this realm of Tibet should be broken anddisunited."
The king agreed and said to the evil ministers: "Listen,mighty ministers of Tibet, my friends! Power in this world depends upon the king and, if the king is mighty, the ministerslikewise have great strength. But without their sovereign, whatare the doings of mere ministers? Therefore, do not furrow yourking's brow with frowns, but offer him respectful counsel.'' The ministers submitted, whereupon the king turned to address the Buddhists.

若不尊敬他,反而阴谋策划、想对他犯下无量罪行,要知道、要了解,

哦,大臣们,你们将遭受九倍于自己所图谋的恶事。
For it is I who hold dominion upon this earth!" And he was silent.

骚乱不已
Even one of the queens, the Lady of Tsepong, spoke to the evil ministers. But there was no agreement. Tumult prevailed.
王妃之中的策彭夫人甚至还和邪臣们会谈。但是却毫无协议,四处依旧吵闹骚动不已。
苟长老建言
And so Goe the Elder spoke and offered this counsel:
因此苟长老又发话,提出这份建言:
"Majesty! Surely it is better to be in harmony with your ministers than that this realm of Tibet should be broken and disunited."
「陛下!和您的臣子们意见一致.,当然会比藏地分裂来得好。」
劝说邪臣
The king agreed and said to the evil ministers: "Listen, mighty ministers of Tibet, my friends! Power in this world depends upon the king and, if the king is mighty, the ministers likewise have great strength.
国王表示同意,并对邪臣们说:「听着,藏地的大力之臣,我的朋友们!这个世界的权力取决于王,若王有权势,则大臣们也相应地具有势力;
But without their sovereign, what are the doings of mere ministers? Therefore, do not furrow your king's brow with frowns, but offer him respectful counsel.''

但若没有君主的统治,只有大臣们又有何用?因此,不要让你们的君王皱眉蹙额,而要献给他谦恭的建言。」
The ministers submitted, whereupon the king turned to address the Buddhists.
