The king was cheered by these words, and he spoke this counsel in the presence of the people: Hear me, people of Tibet,
White or black or somewhere in between!
I observe and propagate the Dharma,
Planting thus the Doctrine of the Buddha.
On the light of my belief
No shadow of the Bon shall fall.
Your king protects the Dharma,
Listen to his word!

国王宣言

国王受到这些话的鼓励，便在人民面前宣说此劝言：
Hear me, people of Tibet,
White or black or somewhere in between!
藏地人民听我言，
无论黑、 白、混肤色！
欲扬正法
I observe and propagate the Dharma,
Planting thus the Doctrine of the Buddha.
我循正法且宣扬，
故而树立佛教法。
On the light of my belief
No shadow of the Bon shall fall.
于我信仰光明中，
苯教阴影不能落。
Your king protects the Dharma,
Listen to his word!
汝等之王护佛法，
且当听从君王言！
