Now, at that time, the Buddhist king Trisong Detsen, a manifestation of the noble Manjushri, wished to bring the Sacred Doctrine to our country of Tibet. He therefore called upon the mighty teacher Padmasambhava, free from birth and death, who was none other than the Buddha Amitabha appearing in this human world. The king indeed invited him, and built Samye the Glorious, the delight of his heart. He established also innumerable temples near and far, and thereby caused the teachings of the Sacred Dharma to rise and shine like the sun.

王欲请法
Now, at that time, the Buddhist king Trisong Detsen, a manifestation of the noble Manjushri,
其时，信奉佛法的赤松德赞王、圣文殊菩萨的化身之一，
wished to bring the Sacred Doctrine to our country of Tibet.
希望将神圣教法带到我们藏地这个国家，
迎请莲师
He therefore called upon the mighty teacher Padmasambhava, free from birth and death,
因此迎请具有大力的导师莲花生大士他了脱生死—，
who was none other than the Buddha Amitabha appearing in this human world.
实为示现人间的阿弥陀佛。
造桑耶寺
The king indeed invited him, and built Samye the Glorious, the delight of his heart.
国王确实邀请了他，并且建造了使他心喜的吉祥桑耶寺。
圣法日遍
He established also innumerable temples near and far,
另外还创建了远近无数个大小寺庙，
and thereby caused the teachings of the Sacred Dharma to rise and shine like the sun.
因而使圣法如旭日般遍照大地。
